Here is an announcement from the former Poet Laureate of Edmonton, Alice Major.

“Cree-Métisse poet, novelist, painter and sculptor Virginia Pésémapéo Bordeleau, born in Rapides-des-Cèdres and residing now in Abitibi, Québec, will be giving a talk on Native lit in Quebec and on her own writing. The talk will be in French, but afterward, there will be an exhibition and sale of some of her paintings, around nibblies, with musical accompaniment.
