Vic Froese

Vic Froese is Library Director at CMU, where he has worked in one capacity or another since 2000. His Master of Library & Information Science degree is from the University of Western Ontario, and his PhD, from the Toronto School of Theology. Aside from his library duties, Vic has also served for more than ten years as the general editor of Direction, a small Mennonite Brethren academic journal. Originally from St. Catharines, Ontario, Vic and his wife live in Steinbach, Manitoba. They have three adult sons, a daughter-in-law, and two wonderful grandchildren. His main role on the Riel team is as information professional and consultant in the development of a language database that will be a resource to Riel cast members but also to those dedicated to the urgent task of preserving First Nations languages.
